Big tourist attraction - not that really interesting once you get there. I do remember the first time I visited this thing a long time ago, I didn't realize that there was actually an underground passageway to get to the arc (instead we kind of did the Frogger thing and avoided 8 lanes of french driving). It's purpose, you ask, political propoganda for good ole Napolean.
