Favorite part of the whole trip to Paris would probably have been the Potager du Roi. Apparently Kings needed to eat too, and it was before the invention of Wal-Mart - so one of the Louis commissioned a kitchen garden. It was pretty huge, and one of its claims to fame was that they were able to grow figs year round.The french are still more accomplished in the kitchen garden thing than most others that I've met (sorry, Hilary) - since they are constantly having something come up for almost every month of the year. Needless to say I took a lot of notes.
