Closest I've ever been to a cheetah - also at the Schoenberg Zoo.We actually got there around feeding time, so they stuck a hunk 'o meat on a zip wire, and the cheetahs were chasing it - they're pretty fast, surprisingly.
So when she made her loop around the enclosure, we were probably about 6 feet away - not too bad.
Of course now, Patrick wants to REALLY go to South Africa for a safari in Krueger National Park.
